Qualification
AQA - GCSE
Due to coursework no longer being an element of this course, the specification studied in Year 11 has been withdrawn. This means that students will need to be assessed in all three modules.
Students will study the topics of Number, Algebra, Shape and Space, Measure and Data Handling.
Course Length
One Year.
Entry Requirements
Students should have achieved at least an E Grade on their first attempt. However, all students will be considered.
Course Delivery
A compulsory weekly lesson to revise the main topics, backed up by supported self-study and ICT.
Assessment Method
Module 1 will be taken in November, Module 3 in March and the final terminal module in June.
Progression from the course
A grade C or above at GCSE can be required for entry to many Higher Education courses or for other careers.
