The course is based upon designing and making using mainly woods, metals and plastics.

Curriculum

Two hours lesson time per week.

Course Delivery

In year 10 you will learn about the properties of wood, metals, plastic and smart materials and how to combine these to manufacture quality products. You will then make two wooden products to develop your practical skills.

In year 11 you will use your designing and making skills to produce a practical piece of work which will incorporate two or more different materials.

Exam 40 %
