Qualification

GCSE (AQA)

The course is based upon designing and making use of a range of technologies including Electronics and PIC Control.

Curriculum

Two hours lesson time per week.

Course Delivery

In year 10 , you will learn about the different technologies mentioned above by working on a number of design and make tasks. These tasks will include; producing your own printed circuit board, populating the PCB and making your own systems, prototype bread boarding and programming a micro-controller.

In year 11 you will build upon the skills gained. You will identify a particular problem, design and make a circuit to address and solve the problem. You will make and populate a PCB and then program a Peripheral Interface Controller (PIC) to carry out a particular function.
